Shehu Sani reacts to killing of traditional ruler, warns users of Kaduna-Abuja road

Shehu Sani, the senator representing Kaduna Central, has warned Nigerians to be cautious while plying the Abuja-Kaduna road.

DAILY POST reports that Sani issued the warning while condemning the killing of the traditional ruler of Adara Kingdom, Maiwada Galadima in Kaduna on Friday morning.

Galadima was killed after he was shot twice by kidnappers in Kaduna. Reports of his death created tension in the state leading to the reinstatement of the 24-hour curfew by Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

Speaking on the development, Sani advised those who trek to Abuja in support of presidential candidates to be careful while using the Abuja-Kaduna road.

The Kaduna lawmaker, on his Twitter page, wrote: “The confirmed brutal murder of the paramount ruler of Adara Kingdom Maiwada Raphael Galadima in Kaduna State stands condemned. Its a sad day for Kaduna state.It’s tragic.My appeal to all citizens in Kaduna to embrace peace. May his soul Rest in perfect peace.

“Those in the habit of trekking from one city to Abuja in a show of solidarity for the Presidential Candidate of the ruling or opposition parties should be wary of the security situation along Kaduna-Abuja Road. Seeking advice from the police will make your trekking safer.”
