The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday said it has extended its submission deadline for already completed nomination forms for state congresses.
This was expressed in a statement by Kola Ologbondiyan, National Publicity Secretary of the party.
According to the statement, the decision was reached by the National Working Committee (NWC).
He said the date was earlier announced to be September 23, 2021, but has now been shifted to Friday, October 1, 2021.
The statement named the affected states as Adamawa, Borno, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Kwara, Lagos and Oyo.
According to him, the decision of the NWC is pursuant to its powers under the constitution of the PDP 2017 (as amended).
“All critical stakeholders and members in states where state congresses forms have not been concluded are hereby guided accordingly,” it said.
