Kaduna CAN reacts to Ayokunle’s re-election

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Kaduna State chapter, has enjoined its National President, Dr. Supo Ayokunle, to see his recent re-election as an opportunity to defend the religious liberty of millions of the faithful and the rule of law.

This was as it congratulated its National President over his victory at the recently conducted election of the association, urging Ayokunle to see his re-election as a wake-up call to defend the religious rights of Christians in the country.

A letter addressed to the National President by the CAN state chairman, Rev. John Joseph Hayap, read, “Your re-election is God’s confirmation of your good stewardship to the Church in Nigeria and a challenge for you to do more in the next tenure.”

“The journey will not be easy but our prayers for you is that God will be with you and guide you to lead the Church as Joshua led the children of Israel to the promised land where there is freedom of worship and respect for citizens rights.

“May God guide you to champion religious liberty and respect for the rule of law from the government of Nigeria for Christians and all peace-loving citizens of Nigeria.”
