Senate President Bukola Saraki has said he would support any candidate that emerges the flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 presidential election.
Saraki, who is also a PDP presidential aspirant, said this on Monday after appearing before the party’s screening committee.
Saraki, Aminu Tambuwal and Ahmed Makarfi were at the PDP national secretariat, at the Legacy House in Abuja for the screening exercise, ahead of the party’s presidential primary.
A tweet via his handle read: “Ahead of the presidential primaries of our great party @OfficialPDPNig, I have just concluded my screening at Legacy House, Abuja.
“The level of camaraderie between all the @OfficialPDPNig aspirants is reassuring. I have no doubt that we will work together to support whoever emerges as our party’s candidate to #GrowNigeria.”
