Hoodlums disrupt Zamfara PDP congress

Hoodlums intruded the venue of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Congress in Zamfara State and disrupted the proceedings.
The hoodlums, who looked extreme and dangerous, damaged roofs and plastic chairs, causing party members to run.

The congress, which began peacefully at the Samaru area of Gusau, finished up in uproar as the thugs pursued party stalwarts and vehicles were vandalised.

The PDP officials in the state were so restless and could not speak to correspondents about the happening.

Hoodlums disrupt Zamfara PDP congress

Secretary of the PDP in Zamfara state, Alhaji Faruk Ahmad Shattima, was seen trying to organise the movement of party members to the new venue of the congress.

It was alleged that an intra-party dispute was the cause of the incident.
