Gov Ortom warns against politicizing insecurity, urges leaders to salvage Nigeria

Governor Samuel Ortom has urged leaders across Nigeria to close ranks to salvage the country from its challenges.

He spoke Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at the Catholic Youth Centre Makurdi, during the solemnization of holy matrimony between Doobee Jennifer Aaka and Bemsen David Atume.

The Governor stated that leaders irrespective of political affiliation must put aside their differences for the unity and development of the country.

He particularly asked leaders and the citizenry to take the issue of security seriously, pointing out that security for lives and property should not be poliiticised.

The Governor noted that posterity will judge all in the end for their roles in the affairs of the nation.

He said as an elected representative of the people, he owes them accountability at all times and will continue to seek justice for all.

Governor Ortom tasked the couple on love, respect and trust for one another and also prayed to God to bless their union.

Some of the dignitaries at the wedding included the Benue State Deputy Governor, Engineer Benson Abounu and his wife, Justice Mary Abounu, Chief Judge of the state, Justice Aondover Kakaan and the new Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr Tivlumun Nyitse.

Members of the Benue State security and executive council among others also witnessed the wedding ceremony.
