Crisis rocks Jigawa APC over Auyo’s suspension

The All Progressives Congress in Jigawa State has suspended Alhaji Danladi Auyo for six months.
DAILY POST recalls that Auyo was a running mate to Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar in the 2011 gubernatorial election under the defunt Action Congress of Nigeria, and chieftain of the party in charge of Jigawa North East as well as a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial aspirant in 2015.

The suspension of Auyo was disclosed by the Council Chairman of the ruling APC, Alh. Sale Muhammad due to what he described as anti-party activities that contravene the party’s ideology and other violations of party interests.

According to him, the APC chieftain was suspended over alleged attacks on the party’s administration in the state and the country.

He added that the party took the decision to suspend the party chieftain after a series of consultations with all ward leaders and the party caucus.

He explained, “The party executives agreed with the decision for alleged sabotage on the party’s activities at the state and national level.”

He further explained that Auyo had attacked Badaru in a series of Freedom Radio political programmes.

Muhammad noted that according to Auyo, his criticism is for social justice with open mind, devoid of any prejudice nor self-centeredness in the capacity to offer transparent and purposeful leadership acceptable to all and sundry.
