Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has reacted to The death of his aide,Umar Pariya.
DAILY POST reports that Umar Pariya, a close aide of Atiku Abubakar died in Dubai, where Atiku himself has been since April.
The cause of his death is still unknown.
Pariya served Atiku during his time as Vice-President and has remained in his close circle.
The news of the death of the former presidential aide was announced by Yakubu Dogara, the former House of Representatives Speaker.
Reacting, Atiku on his Twitter page expressed sadness over the incident.
He wrote: “Umar Pariya was much more than a longstanding aide to me; he was incredibly loyal and qualified as a member of my family. He will be missed.
“May Allah comfort his family, forgive his sins and grant him AlJannah Firdaus. Amen.
