Arsenal vs Liverpool: Unai Emery takes decision on goalkeeper for EPL clash

Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has decided to start summer signing Bernd Leno, in Saturday’s Premier League showdown against Liverpool.

Veteran goalkeeper, Petr Cech, started the season as Arsenal’s No. 1, but lost his place in the team to Leno after suffering an injury.

Cech is now back to full fitness and played in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup victory over Blackpool.

Despite Cech’s availability, the Daily Mirror reports that Leno will start the game at The Emirates.

Emery, meanwhile, has urged his Arsenal team “to write a new history”, when Liverpool visit on Saturday.

“We want to write a new history. The new history is in the present and also, with our players, our quality and our capacity, I believe in my players and this project.

“We are starting this project with a very positive way with what we are doing.

“We are in our mentality that we also need to improve thing but each match they are giving us a lot of information for improvement and development and I trust in my players,” Emery said.
