Tragedy has struck as the House of Representatives member-elect for the Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency in Taraba State, Hon. Isma’ila Yushua Maihanchi, passed away in Abuja. AREWA News reports that Maihanchi died in the early hours of Saturday following a brief illness at an undisclosed hospital in the nation’s capital.
An aide to the late member-elect confirmed that Maihanchi will be buried according to Islamic rites today at the national cemetery in Abuja. The sudden loss of the Taraba House of Reps member-elect has left his constituents and colleagues in shock and mourning.
