The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the ongoing Osun State election, Gboyega Oyetola, has debunked the allegation that his party agents are buying votes.
SaharaReporters had witnessed a party agent distributing money in Unit 2, Ward 6, Iragbiji Local Government in Osun State, which is Oyetola’s ward.
Voters were asked to present their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), after which they were given N2,000.
When SaharaReporters confronted Oyetola with the evidence of vote buying by the party agent, he denied it, saying he was unaware of vote buying in the ward.
He said: “I don’t know about any buying of votes. I have not seen anybody buying votes. As far as this place is concerned, I have not seen anyone buying votes.”
