Stop saying coronavirus does not exist – Buhari govt warns Nigerians

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has warned Nigerians again against believing that the deadly virus does not exist.
The PTF said it is insensitive to those who have lost loved ones to the disease to say it does not exist.
The PTF National Coordinator, Dr. Sani Aliyu, gave the warning during the daily press briefing on Thursday.
“Our numbers are increasing and we must take measures to protect ourselves,” Dr Aliyu said.
“We must start believing in COVID-19 and protect ourselves. People are dying from it.
“For every case, there are thousands that we are missing. No sane country will destroy its economy
“We could not have introduced restrictions based on suspicions; COVID-19 knows no race and class .
“It is insensitive to those who have lost loved ones to say COVID-19 does not exist.
“That you do not know someone who has died from or has COVID-19 does not mean it is unreal. We know that this challenge must pass and we should face this headlong.”
