Real Madrid shortlist two managers to take over from Lopetegui

Real Madrid have shortlisted two managers to take over from the Los Blancos coach, Julen Lopetegui.

According to Diario AS, former Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte and former Argentina international, Santiago Solari, are on Real Madrid’s shortlist to replace Lopetegui.

Conte is currently without a team since leaving the Blues in the summer, while Solari is the current manager of Madrid B team, Castilla.

The report however claimed that Lopetegui will be given until the end of October to turn things around for Madrid.

Lopetegui is under intense pressure at the Santiagao Bernabeu just four months after taking over from former Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane.

Madrid suffered a 1-0 shock defeat to Alaves on Saturday evening in the La Liga to make it the fourth matches without a win in all competitions.

The Los Blancos also lost to Sevilla and CSKA Moscow and played a draw with Atletico Madrid.

Lopetegui’s side will take on Levante in their next La Liga fixture on October 20.
