NLC strike: Commercial banks shut down operations in Delta

Commercial banks today shut down operations in Warri, Delta State as the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, begins its nationwide strike.

Union Bank, Ecobank, Zenith Bank, United Bank for Africa and others were amongst the banks that shut down their operations.

It was learnt that the shutdown is in compliance with the NLC ongoing strike.

DAILY POST gathered that a directive from the Lagos Head Offices of the banks resulted in the shutdown, leaving customers stranded as they were seen making withdrawals at various ATM units of the banks.
