Nigeria calls up Chelsea goalkeeper

Promising Chelsea goalkeeper, Prince Shakiru Adegoke, has been called up to the Nigerian squad, ahead of the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup, AllNigeriaSoccer reports.

After waiting for about two weeks for an official invitation letter, Adegoke was notified by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday, to join the Golden Eaglets in Abuja.

Through a letter dated 27th August 2019 with reference number NFF/GEN/TECH/204/VOL. IV, the NFF have contacted Chelsea and requested for the release of younger stopper.

Adegoke joined Chelsea in April 2016, after he was spotted playing for the U-12 team of Langley FC.

Nigeria will play in Group B of the U-17 World Cup in Brazil, alongside Hungary, Australia and Ecuador.
