LaLiga table: Barcelona, Real Madrid close gap on Atletico after shock defeat

Atletico Madrid’s lead at the top of LaLiga table has been reduced, following their 2-0 defeat at Real Sociedad.

Diego Simeone’s men came into the game with a perfect record, having won all their opening fixtures.

However, goals from Martin Odegaard and Nacho Monreal, saw them lose for the first time this season.

Atletico still top with nine points.

They are now only one point ahead of rivals Real Madrid, who edged Levante 3-2 in a five-goal thriller.

Barcelona also beat Valencia 5-2 and sit in fourth place with seven points.
