Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez will undergo a surgery on Sunday for an injury to his right knee.
Barcelona made this known in a statement on the club’s official website on Saturday ahead of their La Liga fixture against Granada on Sunday night at Camp Nou.
The statement read: “Luis Suárez to have surgery on Sunday.
“The Uruguayan striker will be operated on tomorrow Sunday by Dr.Ramon Cugat for an injury to the external meniscus of his right knee.”
Suarez featured in Barcelona’s 3-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final encounter on Thursday.
The former Liverpool striker has scored 14 goals in 23 matches for Ernesto Valverde’s men this season.
