LaLiga: Barcelona president speaks on ‘planned return’ of Neymar

Barcelona chief, Josep Maria Bartomeu has ruled out any plan to sign Paris Saint-Germian forward, Neymar in the January transfer window.

Neymar left the La Liga champions after PSG activated his €222million release clause in 2017, making him the most expensive player of all time.

However, latest rumours have suggested that Barca were contemplating making a move to bring Neymar back to Camp Nou and Bartomeu did little to dismiss such talk.

“We don’t plan to sign anyone in January, unless the coaches ask for someone before then,” Bartomeu told Catalunya Radio.

“It’s a smaller squad because we have B team players who can make the first team.

“Neymar? He left and there are no plans to bring him back.”

Neymar has so far scored 27 goals and set up 16 in 28 Ligue 1 matches for PSG.
