The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has decided to take into account the proposal from Bayelsa State government a shift of the November 2 Governorship elections.
Professor. Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chairman announced the decision on Tuesday in Abuja during a meeting with stakeholders from Bayelsa State.
The commission also seized the medium to announce its readiness to commerce the prosecution of electoral offenders whose case files have already been prepared by the Nigerian Police.
