Hit and run vehicle kills motorcyclist in Osogbo

A hit and run vehicle killed a motorcyclist on Saturday night in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The accident occurred around 9:04 pm within the Malam Tope area, Osogbo-Ikirun highway, Osogbo.

A red Bajaj motorcycle, with registration RLG153QC was hit by an unknown vehicle. The motorcyclist died on the stop.

The Sector Public Education Officer for Osun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Agnes Ogungbemi said the accident might probably have been caused by over speeding.

She said that the corpse was taken to Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo Morgue while the Boxer Bajaj Motorcycle was recovered and is in possession of the sector.

“The corpse was taken to Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo Morgue. Items Recovered: Boxer Bajaj Motorcycle,” she said.
