FIRS retires directors in service for 8 years, appoints new officials [Full list]

The Board of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has approved the appointment of four Coordinating Directors (CD).
The agency also approved the appointment of two Group Leads (GL) in acting capacity.
Consequently, a number of directors have been retired with immediate effect.
Abdullahi Ismaila, Director, Communications and Liaison Department, made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday.
Ismaila explained that the development was part of ongoing-internal reforms.
He disclosed that the FIRS Board took the decision at its Emergency Meeting held last Friday.
The spokesman said the board approved the retirement of all directors who had served for eight years and above as directors in the Service, in line with Para 10.1(a)(iii) of Human Resources Policy and Programmes (HRPP)” of the FIRS statute.
The new Coordinating Directors are Dr Asheikh Maidugu for Executive Chairman’s Group; Mr Olufemi Oladeji Oluwaniyi for Tax Operations Group) Mr Innocent Chinyere Ohagwa, for general Services Group and Mr Ezra Usman Zubairu for Enforcement Support Group.
Those appointed as Group Leads are Mrs Faosat Ogunniyi – Compliance Support Group and Ms. Chiaka Okoye – Digital Support Group.
Ismaila added that the new appointees are to begin work immediately.
