EPL: What Raheem Sterling said after Man City’s 5-0 win over West Ham Utd

Manchester City forward, Raheem Sterling has reacted to his side’s Premier League 5-0 victory over West Ham United on Saturday.

Goals from Gabriel Jesus (1), Sterling (3) and Sergio Aguero gave Pep Guardiola’s men all three points against West Ham at London Stadium.

Sterling described City’s win over Manuel Pellegrini’s side as a ‘great way to start’ the 2019/20 Premier League season.

“It feels good but the important thing today was starting well as a team and getting the win and the three points,” Sterling told CityTV.

“That’s what we’ve done and it’s a great way to start the season.

“It’s always good to score goals but at the same time you want to get a run of clean sheets going as well and long may it continue.”

Asked if he is targeting the golden boot this season, the England international added: “It’s early days. It’s about enjoying it and keeping winning –that’s the most important thing!”
