EPL: Rashford throws dig at Jose Mourinho

Manchester United striker, Marcus Rashford has aimed a dig in the direction of his former manager, Jose Mourinho.

Rashford emphasised that the Red Devils are now back to “normal” under current manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, after three years of instability during Mourinho’s regime.

Mourinho, who was sacked last December after two-and-a-half-years at Old Trafford, was replaced by Solskjaer.

Rashford is now saying that the atmosphere in the club is far better now than under Solskjaer.

The England international stated this ahead of Man United’s Premier League clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.

“When a manager gets a pre-season, that’s where they make changes and the whole team is 100 per cent changed, especially off the ball,” Rashford told the Times.

“We’re definitely pressing more. In the past, we didn’t quite grasp it. Against top players you’ll get picked off.

“Winning — but the way we win is important to me. What we want is to play Manchester United football, attacking, free-flowing, fast. If you lose the ball, you win it back.

“He [Solskjaer] has brought stability. In the past three years, you were never sure about anything. Now we have stability. Everyone’s in a good mood, a good place. It’s a completely different environment to what it has been, it feels back like normal.

“We really want to test ourselves now against the best in the league.”
