EPL: Dimitar Berbatov predicts outcome of Tottenham vs Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, other games

Former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov, has predicted some of the English Premier League, EPL, games that will be played this weekend.

Leicester City will host Arsenal at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon, while Chelsea will face Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.

Manchester United will face Tottenham Hotspur in an away Premier League tie on Saturday evening and Liverpool will host Brighton.

Providing his predictions, Berbatov was quoted by Metro UK as saying, “Arsenal are on a good run and are unbeaten in five, that patience in Mikel Arteta is paying off which is good for them. Leicester are also doing well, and they have some quality players in their team. As much as Arsenal are very much an improved side, I will back Leicester to take advantage of being at home. Leicester 2, Arsenal 1.”

Commenting on the Liverpool vs Brighton game, Berbatov said, “First of all, what are Brighton doing in fifth place?! Credit to them, they have had a good start and this is what I want to see, teams pushing and challenging the top sides. I hope they continue to do that and are up there at the end of the season, but you need to have a big squad for that, so it could be difficult to ask for them. Liverpool are too much to handle for most teams at the moment, Mohamed Salah is out of this world and right now, I would say he is the best player on the planet. I expect them to win at Anfield. Liverpool 3, Brighton 1.”

Speaking on the Newcastle vs Chelsea fixture, Berbatov said, “Newcastle are going through a big transition and they are still looking for a new manager. Chelsea are up there and have been playing well. But, I’m going to go for a surprise here, the Newcastle fans are in a new era and they will be right behind their side. I’m going for a draw in this one. Newcastle 1, Chelsea 1.”

On the Tottenham vs Manchester United clash, Berbatov said, “Unfortunately, I must say that I think Manchester United are going to have a difficult time after being humiliated by Liverpool. Now is the moment for Spurs to play United and if they are smart enough, they will win the match. I think Spurs will take advantage in this one and I expect the crowd to really get behind them. Tottenham 2, Man Utd 1.”
