EPL: Alex Iwobi gets new jersey number at Everton

Former Arsenal star, Alex Iwobi has chosen a jersey number at his new club side, Everton.

Iwobi completed a move to The Toffees yesterday which was the deadline day.

He has been allocated the Number 17 shirt he first wore at Arsenal during the 2016-2017 season, Allnigeriasoccer reports.

Idrissa Gueye left the number vacant after sealing a transfer to French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain last month.

Everton’s record goalscorer in Premier League history, Romelu Lukaku, also wore the Number 17 whilst on loan at the club during the 2013-2014 season.

Aside from Gueye and Lukaku, other players who have worn Everton’s number 17 kit in the Premier League are Muhamed Besic, Tim Cahill, Scot Gemmill, Francis Jeffers, Gareth Farrelly, Andrey Kanchelskis and Anders Limpar.
