COVID-19: Government to test workers

Nasarawa State Government has announced preparedness to test its workers for COVID-19.

Ibrahim Adamu, Public Health Director, in the Ministry of Health, made the disclosure on Thursday, in Lafia.

Adamu disclosed that staff of his department directly involved in the fight against the pandemic have been tested.

The director said that the modality was being worked out for sample collection from next week.

“Our strategy now is that every civil servant in the state should have the opportunity of being tested, and that is what we want to do going forward,” NAN quoted him saying.

Adamu confirmed that 3,652 persons had been tested for COVID-19 in Nasarawa.

Confirmed cases are 443, 24 results are pending and 13 casualties so far.
