Commissioner’s death: Akeredolu’s aide to oversee health ministry

Ondo Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has directed Jibayo Adeyeye, his Special Adviser on Health, to oversee the activities of the Ministry of Health.

This followed the death of Commissioner for Health, Wahab Adegbenro.

Ojo Oyewamide, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, made the announcement in a statement on Saturday.

Adeyeye, a two-term lawmaker at the Lagos State House of Assembly, is a consummate medical practitioner.

He graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (UNILAG).

“His new roles are with immediate effect,” the statement added.
