Carabao Cup: Aston Villa to play Man Utd, Man City in Wembley final

Aston Villa have qualified for the final of this season’s Carabao Cup.

The Midlands club defeated Leicester City 2-1, in the second leg of their semi-final tie on Tuesday night.

With the score delicately poised at 1-1, both teams came into the match at Villa Park with a chance to progress.

Jack Grealish set up Matt Targett to smash a shot past Kasper Schmeichel to make it 1-0, before Kelechi Iheanacho equalized in the 72nd minute.

Trezeguet then scored a dramatic late winner as Villa edged it 3-2 on aggregate.

Five-times winners Villa will face either Manchester United or Manchester City, who play in the other semi-final on Wednesday.
