Atiku vs Buhari: Jibrin mocks PDP over Peter Obi’s choice as Atiku’s running mate

Former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has mocked the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over the controversy emanating from the choice of former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate.

DAILY POST reported that South-East Governors and leaders on Saturday expressed shock over Alhaji Atiku’s choice of Obi as his running mate for the 2019 presidential election.

The leadership of PDP, in the zone also took the same stand.

Their position was conveyed through the Chairman of the South East Governors Forum and governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi.

Reacting to the development, Jibrin mocked the party for making their first most important appointment without due consultation.

The lawmaker tweeted, “First and perhaps the most important appointment at this stage without consultation?

“What better early signs? The umbrella has started leaking even before the downpour.

“We will rather go with slow, steady, calm with wide consultation and good result. Baba Buhari now and ever.”
