Arsenal vs Bayern Munich: What Özil said after Gunners’ pre-season 2-1 victory

Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Özil, has reacted to his side’s pre-season 2-1 friendly victory over Bayern Munich in the early hours of Thursday.

Arsenal took the lead against the Bundesliga champions four minutes after the break, thanks to Louis Poznanski’s own goal.

Robert Lewandowski made it 1-1 in 71st minute, but Eddie Nketiah netted the winning goal with two minutes left at the Dignity Health Tennis Center Stadium in Los Angeles, LA.

Reacting, Ozil took to his Twitter handle to thank the hosts’ fans for their support during the encounter, adding that the match against Bayern was a good test for the Emirates club.

He twitted: “Thanks, L.A. for hosting us. Good test against @FCBayern and another victory in our preseason bag. #COYG #daretocreate #M1Ö @adidasfootball.”

Unai Emery’s men will continue their preparations for the new season, with another friendly against Fiorentina on Saturday, July 20.
