Ahmed Musa bags assist on NPFL return

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, marked his Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) return with an assist, as Kano Pillars beat Adamawa United 1-0 on Sunday.

Musa was missing as Sai Masu Gida drew 1-1 at Warri Wolves last time out.

However, he started against Adamawa United and set up Rabiu Ali for the only goal.

Following this win, the four-time Nigerian champions remained second on the NPFL log with 40 points from 21 matches in the 2020/2021 campaign.

Akwa United stay top thanks to their 2-0 victory over cross-city rivals Dakkada FC.

Musa could be handed his second start when Kano Pillars take on Katsina United in their next game on May 23.
