AFCON 2019: Odegbami snubs Nigeria, names ‘most dangerous’ team

Former Nigeria international, Segun Odegbami has identified the South African national team as the most dangerous team at the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt.

Odegbami pointed out that Staut Baxter’s side did not start this year’s AFCON on a good note but are now doing well.

The 1980 AFCON hero stated this ahead of Nigeria’s quarter-final clash against the Bafana Bafana on Wednesday night.

Nigeria head to the game after defeating Cameroon 3-2 last weekend while South Africa defeated the host nation Egypt.

“South Africa are the most dangerous. They didn’t start well, but now they are doing well,” Odegbami was quoted by Brila FM as saying.

“So, Nigeria have to be very, very careful against them because once we can get rid of them, we will bring the cup back home.”
