His Royal Highness Sunday Dajep, the district head of Chip community in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State, has been kidnapped from his palace by armed assailants. The abduction took place around 11pm on Wednesday, as the gunmen forced their way into the palace located along the Mangu-Shendam road.
The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the incident, with DSP Alfred Alabo, the Police Public Relations Officer, stating that they have been pursuing the kidnappers since receiving the distress call. A manhunt for the gunmen is currently underway as the police work to secure the safe release of the abducted traditional ruler.
