18 passengers perish in Ekiti road crash

No fewer than 18 people have been killed in an early morning road crash in Awo community in Irepodun/Ifelodun LGA of Ekiti State.

The Toyota Hiace bus, said to be conveying the passengers from Lagos to Abuja, had a head-on collision with a trailer on Awo – Igede road on Wednesday morning.

The bodies of the passengers were squeezed in the crashed bus, with witnesses claiming that there were no survivors in the accident.

When DAILY POST contacted the Ekiti PPRO, he said the accident involved a Commercial bus with Reg. No- LA EKY 978FJ which ran into a stationed Trailer with No- Yobe FB 404 FKA as its number.
