Ex-Abia lawmaker blasts Orji, describes him as sleeping senator

Iheanacho Obioma, former member of the Federal House of Representatives and a Senatorial aspirant for Abia central zone under the platform of the All Progressives Congress,APC, has blasted a former Governor of Abia State and the current Senator representing Abia central in the Senate, Theodore Orji, over alleged misrepresentation of the people in the National Assembly.

Obioma who spoke with DAILY POST in Umuahia, the state capital on Thursday, described Orji as a sleeping senator who has failed woefully to make laws that will impact positively to the lives of the people of Abia central since he(orji) assumed office.

The former Federal lawmaker, promised effective representation and purposeful leadership if voted into the Senate come 2019.

According to Obioma,”You know, this is not my first time to contest for Abia central senatorial seat. But, I believe by the special grace of God, this time, it will work.

“I have not lost any bid to go to the Senate as a result of not being popular. It has always been as a result of manipulations by the ruling PDP government in Abia”.

” Now that those machineries they used to subvert the will of the people is no more there,it is very clear PDP will lose in 2019 election.”

He added that,”The current Senator we have there now, like I said, is a sleeping Senator. So, we need vibrant people, vibrant young man like me, who understands the job. Not just to be a senator.

“That is why I am aspiring to be a senator, to represent the good people of Abia central district.”
