EPL: Solskjaer claims Chelsea tried to influence referees before 0-0 draw

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has claimed Chelsea tried to influence referees before they played out a drab goalless draw on Sunday.
Solskjaer was referring to an article on Chelsea’s website before the game, which claimed United captain Harry Maguire got away with VAR decisions.
At Stamford Bridge, referee Stuart Atwell chose to award the Blues a free-kick, after Callum Hudson-Odoi appeared to handle the ball in the box, despite going to the VAR screen.
When asked if he thought his side should have been given a penalty, Solskjaer told Sky Sports: “Yep, 100 per cent. They’re shouting it’s a handball for our player, but when you look at it on the video, they’ve taken two points away from us.”
United were also left furious two weeks ago after their 1-1 draw at West Brom, when Maguire was denied a penalty.
“It’s all these outside influences, even the VAR talk before the game here on Harry, when they put that on the website, that’s cheeky. It’s influencing referees. You can go back and look at the website. It’s putting pressure on the referees to give penalties against us,” Solskjaer added.
