Dogara speaks on Bauchi bye-election, INEC’s performance

The Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for conducting a peaceful senatorial bye-election on Saturday

According to Dogara, the peaceful election was an indication that INEC was capable of conducting the 2019 election.

Dogara, while speaking exclusively with DAILY POST in his village, Gwarangah, Bogoro LGA Bauchi state said, “I am impressed by the arrangement put in place by INEC because as at now, there is no news of violence or irregularities throughout the bye-election in almost all the seven LGAs in the state,” said Dogara.

He admitted that initially, there was poor turn out of voters, attributing same to the farming season. He, however, expressed satisfaction with the voting pattern.
