Buhari vs Atiku: Aisha speaks on APC victory, Presidential election

Aisha, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the outcome of Nigeria’s 2019 presidential election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Wednesday declared the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the election.

Buhari polled a total of 15,191,847 votes, compared to the 11,262,978 votes got by Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Aisha, reacting to her husband’s victory, appreciated Nigerians for having faith in Buhari

On her verified Twitter page, She wrote: “Today is a day of great joy and we thank the Almighty God for making it possible for us to witness this day.

“I accompanied my husband to receive the certificate of reelection presented by INEC, I continue to thank Nigerians for having faith in him.

“We thank the APC Women and Youth campaign Presidential team and our teeming supporters across the country. Thank you all once again. Long live The Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
