A health worker has been arrested in the Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State for providing drugs and treatment to bandits in the area.

The spokesman, Katsina State Police Command, SP. Isah Gambo, paraded the suspect at the state police headquarters on Monday.
He said while being cross-examined, the suspect confessed to aiding the bandits by providing health services to them.
“I studied at the College of Health and Technology in Kankia and I manage a chemist at Tashar Yar Alewa. The bandits from time to time come to my shop carrying guns to seek my help concerning the health of their members and they pay me in return.
“I used to oblige them for fear of being attacked but I am regretting my actions now,” Murtala said
Similarly, the police command paraded one Ibrahim Sama’ila also known as ‘Yellow.’
The suspect confessed to being a criminal, saying he was destined to end up being arrested.
“I’m a confirmed bandit. There is no use denying the fact. I have been involved in kidnapping, cow rustling, stealing and other crimes. So, It is not an allegation. That is how Allah destined it to be for me,” Yellow confessed.
Bandits in the state have had a hard time going about their nefarious activities after the police and other security operatives increased surveillance, leading to the arrest of many.
