Four people were killed, and property was destroyed in an attack by armed men on the Dabna community in Adamawa State, Nigeria.

According to local residents, a group of gunmen on motorcycles stormed the village early Monday morning, firing their weapons while looting drug and foodstuff stores. A vigilante member reported that four civilians were killed in the attack, and one of the assailants was also killed during an exchange of fire with local vigilantes. However, the attacker’s body was taken away by his gang members.
This incident follows a previous attack on Dabna by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in July 2021, which resulted in multiple fatalities. Sulaiman Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa, condemned the recent attack and announced that a team of police officers has been dispatched to the area.
The statement emphasized that the command will no longer tolerate attacks on innocent citizens and will treat such incidents according to the law, as the lives of citizens are held sacrosanct.
