The All Progressives Congreas (APC) caucus in the House of Representatives has condemned the recent development at the country’s legislature.

The group said this in reaction to Tuesday’s siege at the National Assembly by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS)

In a statement made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday on behalf of the caucus, House Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, described the incident was unfortunate.

Gbajabiamila also warned against acts capable of derailing Nigeria’s democracy.

He noted: “The siege of the National Assembly by DSS operatives must be condemned by all men and women of goodwill.

“We must however tarry a while until investigations are completed and facts of what actually happened emerge. We must act responsibly and no one must be allowed to bring down our hard earned democracy.

“The Presidency has done what needs to be done at a time like this and the APC Caucus of the House will make a full statement in the next couple of days by which time it would have been seised of all the facts.”
