The Kaduna State Government has instituted a round-the-clock curfew in Sabon Garin Nassarawa-Tirkaniya, located within the Chikun Local Government Area, in response to recent violence.
The state government explained that the curfew was imposed due to a breakdown of law and order, which resulted in the deaths of two individuals. Samuel Aruwan, the state Commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, announced the decision in a statement on Monday.
Aruwan confirmed that security agencies have been instructed to enforce the curfew in the affected area and that investigations are underway to reestablish peace and order in the community. He urged residents to comply with the curfew, which is effective immediately, and promised to provide updates as they become available.
