2019: Wike reveals What’ll happen to anyone who tries to rig election in Rivers

Ahead of the upcoming elections, the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has warned against any attempt to rig polls in the state.

Wike warned that nobody will be allowed to manipulate elections, irrespective of the deployment of soldiers and security agencies.

Speaking during the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign rally at Okrika Local Government Area of the state, yesterday, Wike said those who attempt to rig elections in the state will be made to face the consequences.

Wike stated that people of the state have resolved to defend their votes across the 4442 polling stations.

He said: “Nobody can subvert the will of Rivers people during the forthcoming general election.

“Anybody who comes to rig in the state will face the consequences. Allow Rivers people to vote persons of their choice. Nobody can steal our votes in Rivers State.

“Ensure you defend your votes. Nobody can hijack materials here in Okrika.”
