2019 election: How Oshiomhole exposed APC as party of sinners – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State has reacted to the “open confession” by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, that corrupt politicians who defected to the ruling party from other parties automatically become clean.

At the APC rally in Warri, Delta State yesterday, Oshiomhole was jocularly quoted to have said that politicians’ sins are forgiven when they join the ruling party.

In reaction, the Chairman of PDP in the state, Chief Dan Orbih slammed the former Edo State Governor over the declaration, adding that Oshiomhole’s confession has shown that APC is a party of sinners.

But Orbih who spoke in Benin, the Edo State capital, was however not amused by the open declaration, insisting that Oshiomhole’s confession goes to show the belief in some quarters that APC as a party is a collection of hypocrites who are only out to witch hunt members of the opposition under the guise of fighting corruption.

He said, “It Is now clear to Nigerians that the people in APC are hypocrites who instead of going to God to beg for the forgiveness of their sins, go to APC for political forgiveness.”

Continuing, the Edo opposition party leader insisted that the APC national party leader’s declaration clearly showed that those who do not belong to the APC are intimidated and hounded on trump up corruption charges so that they can join the party “and their sins are forgiven.”

“Nigeria must reject the APC and their pack of evildoers whose sins cannot be forgiven by mere political association. If they sin, they should seek the face of God for forgiveness.

“By this open declaration, Oshiomole has admitted that APC is a party of sinners.”
