Zamfara Governor-Elect Inaugurates Transition Committee for Rescue and Rebuilding Mission

Zamfara State Governor-elect Dauda Lawal has inaugurated a 60-member Transition Committee, chaired by former Inspector General of Police M.D Abubakar, in Gusau, the state capital. Lawal emphasized that he is on a rescue and rebuilding mission for the state. The committee is responsible for making necessary preparations for a smooth transition of government in Zamfara State.

Lawal described the 60-member committee as an assembly of experts with years of experience in different fields, carefully selected to be part of the transition process. He tasked the committee with developing a clear framework of liaison and establishing formal communication channels with the outgoing administration. The committee will also engage with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, and review the finances, assets, and liabilities of the outgoing government.

The Governor-elect expressed confidence in the committee’s expertise and experience, stating that the people of Zamfara State have high expectations for the incoming government. Lawal believes that the transition committee will help lay a solid foundation for the rescue and rebuilding mission in the state.
