Woman clubs man to death during fight with husband

A woman, whose name was given as Alice, has reportedly clubbed a man, Ogar Olaje, to death during a brawl with her husband at the town of Okpoma, Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The woman’s husband, a commercial motorcycle rider, reportedly engaged in a fight with Ogar, also an Okada rider, following a disagreement over whose turn it was to pick a passenger from Okpoma to the next community, Okuku when the incident happened.

An eyewitness, identified as Tom, told Vanguard that the two men were friends, but on Tuesday, an argument ensued between them which resulted in a fight and the woman became enraged when she saw that the other man had an upper hand over her husband.

She was said to have grabbed a stick with which she hit the man fighting her husband on the head causing him to fall to the ground and he passed out.

“When the woman realised what she had done, she ran away and nobody has seen her since Tuesday, but the husband has been arrested by the police from Kopma Police Station,” Tom said.

The report has it that the man was rushed to the hospital but died shortly on arrival at the hospital.
