Why I visited IBB – Saraki

Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Wednesday visited former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

DAILY POST had reported that a source had said that Saraki was consulting Babangida for “direction on the way forward in view of recent happenings”.

Before the meeting with IBB on Wednesday, Saraki and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara met with Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

However, speaking on his meeting, Saraki said he visited the former President to pay him respect.

He tweeted, ”Dropped in to pay my respects to General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

”Always happy to be with a father and leader. ”
