Former vice-president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has revealed the details of his meeting with the Germany Ambassador to the country, Bernhard Schlagheck.

Atiku hosted Schlagheck at his residence on Tuesday.

“It was my pleasure hosting the German Ambassador Bernhard Schlagheck at a courtesy visit to my residence.

“We discussed a broad range of issues including Nigeria-German relations, democracy and how the Nigerian economy can benefit from German investors,” he wrote on Twitter.

Recall that Atiku formally declared to run for the 2019 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) last week.

His declaration came few months after he left the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Atiku made his position known while addressing stakeholders of the PDP drawn from the 23 Local Government Areas of Rivers State at the Government House, Port Harcourt.
