Transfer: Toni Kroos speaks on Man United’s Pogba, joining Real Madrid, taking his position

Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos, has declared that he will fight for his position at the club once the Los Blancos eventually signs Manchester United star, Paul Pogba this summer’s transfer window.

Pogba, who has been heavily linked with a move to the La Liga giants, has also been advised by Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, to submit a transfer request if he wants to join the Champions League holders this summer.

But speaking after extending his contract with Real Madrid on Monday, Kroos said that he is not too concerned about the challenge, Pogba could provide for him at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Asked about Pogba potentially arriving to Real Madrid from Manchester United, Kroos was quoted by Marca as saying on Monday at a press conference, “We can speak of many names, I also like this player [Pogba], but for me it does not change what I have done in recent years here, to fight for my position.”

Kroos signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2023.

The Germany international joined Real Madrid from Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich, in 2014.
