Chievo are close to agreeing to a deal for Torino midfielder, Joel Obi.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Super Eagles star could have his medical with the Serie A side today, Saturday.

Obi, whose contract is due to expire in June 2019, is expected to sign a three-year contract at the Stadio Bentegodi.

The Nigeria international who has spent his career in Italy, joined Torino in 2015 after a short temporary spell with Parma.

Obi is deemed surplus to requirements by Torino’s new coach, Walter Mazzari, despite playing 22 league games last season and scoring five goals for the Turin-based side.
